I’m a Sony Alpha Gal
I started with a Sony Alpha 300 and now I shoot with a Sony Alpha 550
, but Sony has moved past the A550 and the Sony Alpha 580 and now offer us the Sony A33 and A55. Sony recently unveiled the Sony A77 and like Pavlov’s Dog, I drool whenever I see, read, or hear about this new gem. Check out the YouTube Sony Channel to see why!

My Lenses
Whenever I meet a fellow photographer, I love spending a few months talking cameras and lenses, oops, I’m “glass.” I honestly don’t know how many lenses I have, but the ones I use the most are…
50mm f/2.8 Macro Lens
SONY | NIKON | CANON | PENTAX | SIGMA
This one is always on my camera, it’s a fantastic camera, I love it, best purchase ever! I also have a 50mm f/1.4 (SONY | NIKON | CANON | SIGMA) lens that is perfect for portraits!
105mm f/2.8 Lens
SONY | NIKON| CANON | PENTAX | SIGMA
I purchased this one to use as a portrait lens; for some people a 50mm requires photographers to get too close to their client, but that hasn’t been my experience, yet. I’ve also read that some photographers believe an 85mm (SONY | CANON |NIKON) is the ideal length for portrait photography. What do you use?
75-300mm f/4-5.6 Lens
SONY | NIKON | CANON | OLYMPUS
This is one of the first lenses I purchased; this is a handy lens when I want to take a picture of something without getting too close, like the birds, rabbits, and deer that hang out on our property.
Not sure about a lens yet? Then borrow it before you buy?
